Congratulations to the 2024 Europe Direct Soapbox competition winners.
There was a massive turnout for the 2024 Europe Direct Soapbox competition. The 24 fabulous contestants from schools across Donegal debated the motion that, “AI is not a threat to Humanity”.
Congratulations to the two winners Limar Hassan (16 and under category) and Jiya Jino (17 and over category) who will now travel to Dublin on 26th November to represent Donegal in the National Final.
Our thanks to Maria Walsh MEP for Chairing the Soapbox event, Leas-Chathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Councillor Jimmy Kavanagh and of course our three brilliant judges Dr Aoife Hill (ATU Donegal), Mícheál Ó hÉanaigh (AER) and Donna Marie Doherty (Highland Radio).
