The Archives Office & Research Room
The County Archives office, Exhibition Room and Research Room are based in Lifford, situated on the first floor of the Three Rivers Centre.
It should be noted that, unfortunately, there is no lift and disabled researchers or those with restricted mobility should notify the Archivist in advance so that an alternative room, on the ground floor, can be made available for research.

Appointments
Access to the Archives to carry out research is by prior appointment only. A week’s notice at least is preferred. In order to make an appointment, contact should be made with Archives staff by phone or email. Opening hours in the Archives are from 9.30 AM to 12.45 PM and from 1.30 PM to 4.15 PM.

The Exhibition Room
The displays in the Exhibition room, in the foyer in front of the office, can be viewed during normal working hours- without a prior appointment. There is currently no exhibition at the Archives.

Annual Closures
The Archives does not open at weekends, Irish bank holidays, Good Friday or in the week from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day (both days inclusive.)

Specific Services
Services to researchers include digital photography though it is important to note that for conservation and copyright reasons only certain items can be digitised.
