The Museum can arrange to create a Pop-Up Museum in your classroom or school. A Pop Up Museum is a museum, which exists for a few hours on one particular day and is created by the children, with assistance from the museum. The mission of the Pop-Up Museum is to create conversations between people of all ages and walks of life. The children are invited to bring along an object relating to a particular theme and Museum staff will assist them to write a label to describe what the object means to them. The object is then put on display. At the end of the session, the object is returned. Themes can include “The Oldest Thing I Have’ and “My Culture”.
