The Museum can arrange to create a Pop-Up Museum with a group or organisation. A Pop-Up Museum is a museum, which exists for a few hours on one particular day and is created locally, with assistance from the museum. The mission of the Pop-Up Museum is to create conversations between people of all ages and walks of life. You will be invited to bring along an object relating to a particular theme and Museum staff will assist them to write a label to describe what the object means to them. The object is then put on display. At the end of the session, the object is returned. Themes can include “The Oldest Thing I Have’ and “My Culture”. This service is offered free of charge. Pre booking is required and is subject to availability, please contact the Donegal County Museum on 074 9124613 or email museum@donegalcoco.ie.
