Donegal County Museum is located on the High Road, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, F92 K123. It is in a large old stone building that was once part of the Letterkenny Workhouse and is beside the Intreo office.

Groups can enjoy the museum without booking a tour but please let us know you are coming.

Activities for Children & Families - Museum Detectives Backpack
Search for clues and discover more about the history of Donegal with the Museum Detectives backpack. This fun and educational backpack is free to borrow when you visit the Museum and it contains a series of activities for children of all ages. There are artefacts to find, stories to create and puzzles to solve.
Researchers are welcome by booking an appointment in advance.

- Exhibitions: History of Donegal from Stone Age to Twentieth Century. Various temporary exhibitions and events all year round.
